While loading and sorting pigs last week we had a few bust loose. The round up ensued and one stubborn barrow just wouldn’t leave the cool shady confines of the tangled mess of the tree line. How could I blame him it was a feel like temperature in the high 90’s. Then it occurred to me, stop fighting this and be smarter than the pig. I have an over grown tree line that currently houses blackberry brambles, hackberry trees and vines and pigs that are loving being in that mess. Renee and I focus on only a few things as farmers. One of those things is we strive to see the world through our animals eyes and allow them to express their god given nature. Letting pigs express their pigness makes for both happy pigs and happy farmers. Now we see the forest and the trees through pigs eyes
