The last of the summer grasses

The last if the bluestem is putting on quite a show. As the energy and nutrition leave the leaves and concentrate in the seed head they have not long to they are dormant. Their final act is to put in seed before winter comes, and our task was to delay this process with grazing all summer. I guess we have done a good job this far. For reference the fence is 4 ft high. Go Barry farm go. We will leave this piece better than we found it.
